The Takler family has dealt with vinegrowing and winemaking since the 1700ās in this exceptional region. At this time the Takler family, just as some other wine-maker families, settled in SzekszĆ”rd accordig to the settlement of Maria Teresia.
Their current winery established in 1987. is controlled by the āconsultative board of threeā Takler Ferenc and his two sons AndrĆ”s and Ferenc.
The Takler āTrioā is now farming on 58 hectares, most of which is situated the best location of the wine region.
There is a kind of lightness in his wines, but they are extremely rich in flavor and discreetly fragrant thanks to the chemical components of the variety, such as monoterpene. Owing to the dominancy of merlot, the wine has silky tannins, while the notes of cabernet franc ensure the structure for the wine. Due to the short period of aging in used Hungarian wooden barrels, the leading aromas are driven by the fruitiness but not from the barriques.
